I didn't see re-install in your last post
I know this was brought up in a previous post but did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the software?
Backup your songs to a separate folder just in case. Use Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs and completely uninstall Hoster. Then download a fresh copy from MTU (make sure you are using 3.316) then reinstall using the factory defaults. Your hardware hasn't changed so you should be able to install with no problems with registration. My guess is that there was a glitch or hiccough in the install. You can also download software to checkout the rest of your machine (just do a search, most of them are free to scan) Vista has been giving people fits. The only remaining option to make the laptop work would be to downgrade to XP until the bugs are fixed in the applications which I would only consider as a last resort. One last thing...does the shutdown happen at random times or is it always the same amount of time consistently. If it is consistent could you tell us how long it takes (as accurately as possible) to shut down. Might provide a couple of clues to the cause. Good Luck, keep us posted. We'll get you through this.
