Error message when installing 4.000

After I downloaded the program I got an error message while installing.
I clicked on ignore and went on and let it install but.. My program isn't running right.
The songs won't play right. They will stop, skip or the words will start over running. I have to restart it several times and it will still not play all the way through correctly

The error message said
CRC error:The file C:\program files\micro technology unlimited\microstudio\manual\list-my-songs gif doesn't match the file in the setup's.cab file the medium from which you are running the setup maybe corrupted;contact your software vender


Also can I use one of my downloads to down load to a CD or DVD? to put it on my older computer. I don't know why but it plays the CDG's better than my new one.
