I think you misunderstood. I am running my show from the laptop. The desktop is only for importing the songs as the cd on my laptop doesnt read the cdg's. If you are copying the imported songs from the desktop to the laptop then yes you have to update (rebuild) the database because they were not imported through the Hoster on the laptop.
