Unfortunately this for real. The headphone jack is attached directly to the motherboard. Motherboards for computers today are all multilayer boards which require special equipment to be able to work on them. Your ordinary everyday shop is not equiped for this. Making the easiest and cheapest repair being to replace the motherboard.
I don't have one of these laptops so I can't say for sure but doesn't it have a line-out jack other than the headphone?

You can install Hoster on up to 2 computers. If you already have it on 2 uninstall it from the laptop and install it on the other computer you are going to use. Since you haven't upgraded hoster in a while I hope you have a copy of install program and registration information for it or plan to upgrade.
