Don, here's another suggestion if you're willing to take the time
Put a buffing wheel on a bench gringer and apply red rouge polishing compound.
You can buff out most, if not all, minor scratches on your CDG's.
I have buffed out my CDG collection to their original mirror finish.
Just be careful that you don't buff in one place too long to prevent heat buildup.
