SoundBlaster software and Microstudio

It seems that we have gone full circle again with Soundblaster and Microstudio.
Originally, Microstudio stopped playing when you attempted to access the Soundblaster EAX controls, and continued when you closed the EAX panel, MTU addressed this problem and it has been working well for nearly 12 months. But, I have just installed the latest version of the Audigy software, including new drivers for the EAX panel, and what a bummer, Microstudio now drops the audio again when you access the EAX panel OR the MediaSource recorder, which now means that I cannot record as I used to do. This is my bread and butter here, and it aint working again, I am sure that it is something simple, but would appreciate a little guidance.

Microstudio is still the best thing since sliced bread and Dart.
