Microstudio doesn't recognize Plextor PX-716AL slot feed drive

I have Microstudio V. 2.6.1.1
I have a Plextor PX-716-AL
The software does NOT recognize the drive.
Don't just tell people that the software recognizes drives when it doesn't.
I bought the drive because MTU's website lists this drive as being supported.
Needles to say, I am very disappointed, since I am no longer able to burn CDGs unless I buy an OLD Plextor to replace the old Plextor 712 that gave up the ghost. (Or was killed by MTU; hard to say which occurred)
