Some other products go into the Audio line, and contain a transformer. These can reduce the quality of the signal. The unit I recommended, your power adapter cord plugs into it, and doesnt affect the pure audio signal.
Also it eliminates more cables and junk to carry around with the laptop. It can remain plugged onto the laptop power supply. I just wanted to pass this on to all the laptop users out there with this problem. Gary
