Do you really want your icons, Hoster, etc. to appear on the second display? That's usually the singer's display. If you have it set to display the exact same thing as your monitor (the primary display), you won't be able to add new singers/songs to your playlist while a singer is singing (they would see your open application, what you're entering, etc. and the song lyrics would just be one small piece of the screen). With it set the way you currently have it (second display only showing your desktop background - no icons), the singer will see only the song lyrics displayed (preferably full-screen), while your display will continue to show your icons, open applications, etc. and you can do whatever you need to do on the computer without disturbing what the singer sees.
