Unable to make compilations

I had been using Microstudio Version 2.315 since March 2002 without significant problems until about 3 weeks ago. I have not installed any new software or hardware during the last month but I am currently unable to make a compilation disk, either from tracks already on my hard drive or from new disks, without the process being interrupted with the notice: “Write Command Failed On Device O:1:0, Illegal Command Request (04h, 00h, 02h, 00h)”. I have tried turning off disk caching…. no effect; reducing write speed to as low as 1x…. no effect; downloading the latest ASPI Driver for version 2.315 from MTU …. Still No effect. I am using a Sony CD-RW CRX140E Drive. Does anyone no why this is happening and how to resolve the problem?
