Unable to preview HDMP3, HDBIN, HDVID

I've been having this problem for quite some time (a couple of years at least), but it's becoming more of an issue now that I'm buying more and more songs online. These files, HDBIN, HDMP3, and HDVID I can't preview in the search window. Occasionally, it will play after a long wait, sometimes 10 or more minutes later. However, it doesn't always. HDMP3 files are indexed as KMA, not sure how the HDBIN are indexed, but HDVID are KMH.

I am experiencing this on both computers listed in my sig. I have upgraded my codec pack, swapped the playlist and search audio cards settings, checked all my microsoft updates, checked all windows 7 specific settings...I've searched the forums here, but haven't found a fix.

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas?
