Question some songs will not play on main computer...

We have been trying to trace this problem down to no avail. We have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows 7 which is our main show computer. We have a Dell Latitude 620 with XP....here is our new problem....We have our songs on an external hard drive. We have used Hoster since Feb, 2003. with our songs on a hard drive...We added several new discs today onto the external hard drive, we used the Dell Latitude to load them. We tested them and they all played. (191 new songs). We switched the same external hard drive up to the Dell Inspiron, and some discs are not there when you search for it. They do show up in the database (which we did rebuild), but when you search for the songs in Hoster they simply are not there. After that, we switched the external hard drive bck to the Dell Latitude 620 and the songs can be played perfectly...it operates as it should. The Dell Latitude is too slow to use as a main show laptop, but we carry it in case of an emergency..which we have had to use several times...Also, the singers disc feature does not work at all in the Dell Inspiron......What is going on? We are at our wit's end...It just doesn't make sense... Is it a bug in Hoster or a problem based on the Windows Seven .....or WHAT????.Please help.....Ken and Pat
