Stef, I wish I could say yes, but that is approaching impossible to write code for.
As Dale pointed out, Hoster and other demanding Audio/Video applications can be compromised when the hardware is lacking.
CDG Karaoke players contain a special dedicated chip that computes the video images from the RW codes coming from the CDG Disc. Hoster must do this major computation using the computer CPU processor, video chip and VRAM. Over the years from 1996, we have tweaked this "graphic computation" code to its minimal requirements. I can't imagine there is anything else we can do.
