Book ID #'s

Thanks for the reply. I have done that when I have backup files to use. In this case, no backup. So I want to import cdg file and assign original id number so all my song books won't be affected. I have done this before by deleting the original defective kma file, building a new database file with no songs in it and importing cdg file to it using the old id number. Then I copy it to my kma file and rebuild database. Worked fine then but not now. The program just seems to remember all the id numbers it has used. If I could just build a new file that would allow me to assign XYZ009439 to it, I would be able to copy it to existing kma file and then by rebuilding database, all would be fine. But I just can't seem to be able to assign that id number to the song import file.
