Vista Audio Playback Problem
The Hoster audio playback on all/any song/s is scratchy, or has slight dropouts. Almost sounds like static, but maybe more like a scratched record used to. The audio control dropout select options have no effect at all.
Great play in MicroStudio. No problems, etc. Same with the playback in other cd players of the disc created in MS from these .kma files, etc. Used multiple brand discs and it makes no diff. All music on the cpu plays fine using the Windows Media Player or I-Tunes player. All brand cdg songs have same/similar playback problems when played back in Hoster. Video/lyrics normal and good, etc. Used files imported via normal Hoster cd import, MS created files and hdd import into Hoster, as well as singer's cdg import function on Hoster main screen. At least two songs were imported using a Plextor 716A, and the rest were with the internal burner on the laptop. All experienced the same bad audio problems when played using Hoster. The audio sounds like a scratched record with occasional skips, etc. Certainly identifiable as to the song it is, just not what you want to publicly play during your show. Have tried a lot of the fixes ref'd on this forum. Auto play off, Windows uptodate, sounds off (always get a beep still when song selected in the search box). Set Virtual Memory to at least double RAM. Getting kinda frustrated with this problem. I use Hoster for shows on two other cpu's. Both have XP, and I loaded all the cdg's, etc. This to let you know I've got a little experience with Hoster. No problems at all on the other set ups. Any ideas welcome.... Thanks!
