used to have that problem, i bought a hum eliminator from radio shock, ( $15.00 ) instead of using my soundcard ( extigy ) i now just plugged the hum ellimintor from my laptop straight to my mackie board, all the hizz and hums are gone..or you can also get one from ebtech...
