Building data base problem

I have a question and hope someone can help me

I have my system that I use to run shows and the one I work on at home to do initial upgrades and put in new disks. Then I put the kma files on a disk and move them over to the other system. The file shows that there are like 13,278 kma's in the folder, but when I build the database in hoster it only builds like 13,033 songs. I have check and the folder only contains kma files, and when I build the database on my home work station it shows the same number of files in the folder but it will build like 13,179 songs. This seems odd and I do notice that sometimes when I put in new songs and rebuild the database that sometimes other songs will disappear. Stuff that regulars sing and have sang and they are not there. Sometimes The number for a song is in the book and it is not in the system. Sometimes the number for a song brings up the wrong song. I will cross reference it with the song that came up and it still isn't there. Any suggestions or help out here?
