Thank you for the replies. I have a compaq computer with an 8X LG CD-RW CED-8080B drive and an Intel(r) 82810F Graphics controller. My computer also has a DVD drive and I have no problem viewing DVDs.
When I run the directX tests including direct draw and direct 3D, the tests show that everying is working correctly without any problems. Is that the way that I would test to see if the video card is supporting directX 9.0? The only thing that I do not seem to be able to do is to view the graphics from the CDG on my computer. Everything else works fine.
