the sound choice problems are getting worse

It has been alluded to that playing a singers disc even though not copying it is not legal. Is this true? same question for the thumb drives. I have been getting folks coming in that have their entire collection on a thumb drive. It is beginning to get to be a pain because I only have so many usb ports and when three or four people come in with thumb drives and want to sing
" their own version" off of it it takes longer to find it and sometimes it crashes hoster . If i have used the regular search feature and then try importing with the "koke" button from a thumb drive it will crash hoster, but if i restart it and then click the "koke" button and import it that way it works fine. what is going wrong i am using xp media edition and the latest video hoster program on a toshiba satelite laptop. oh and i am not apirate sound choie has checked me out thoroughly lol and i have the reciepts to prove it lol. the legal question was precipitated by their questionaire asking if i/we use singers discs or thumdrives to play songs from. I am inferring from that that they frown on it at the minimum or it is illegal. so id like to know from fellow mtu folks if that's true, or a worry tactic
