Newst Version Of Hoster

I can't seem to keep up with this quick upgrade. What is the latest version of hoster, and exactly how does it differ then the one i purchased just a couple of months ago? other then the volume control being gone, which i never use anyway. George

I just want to add, that the store says i have Verson 4.0 Installed October 2008. So a upgrade would be free. Just wondering since all is working well, if i should just leave it alone? any comments about this would be helpful. Maybe there might be a problem with 4.0 i haven ran into yet or something?? thanks George

That is up to you. Check out the lists of what has been do on each of the upgrades and see if it would benefit you. I will say this that 4.08 is the most stable and least proned to errors and crashes. There has been an extreme reduction in Forum questions since the release of 4.08.

Can i go back to what i have now if for some reason 4.08 isn't working right for my vista laptop? Is it laid out basically the same? or is it a whole different ballgame now? I just got 4.0 learned? I'm willing to give it a shot though. Any info is appreciated Dale. George

If you have the Hoster400Setup.exe file you downloaded for that version saved somewhere then yes you can go back to it. Only the latest version is available on the web site.
There is no major difference visually between 4.08 and 4.00. If 4.00 works on your Vista Laptop then there is no reason that 4.08 won't. In fact it should work better because a lot of bugs and problems have been fixed along the way.
If you want details of what has been done go to the Support section and click on Version Upgrades in the column to the left, select Video Hoster and it will show you everything that has been changed/fixed from 4.00 to 4.08.

Thanks Dale, i will go ahead and download 4.08. Im sure it will go smooth as clock work. I have Microstudio, Karaoke Home Producer, Keyrite full version, Vogone full version. Been a customer since 2004. Everything MTU produces works great even on my old puter. And i have found on the very few times that i've had problems. They were something i did, or didn't do. But were easily corrected. Like the out of sync problem i first had with Hoster. It was something downloaded on my computer, not the software, or the computer. Thanks much Dale, you are a great help here on the forum for everyone. George
