Reloading Hoster 4.0

Hi guys,

A week ago, this laptop became infected with a particularly nasty trojan horse virus. I was told by the IT guy that it had destroyed a number of my files and that it was necessary to reload Windows XP and Hoster. He reloaded XP and I now wish to reload Hoster. I initially purchased and installed Hoster V3.316 but up-graded to V4.0 in August last year. I have tried to install Hoster from the MTU website without luck. It wont allow me to because it advises that I've already installed it on two computers which is correct, my desktop and this laptop. Now I want to reinstall it on this computer. I come up against the same response when I try to reload from my old 3.316 CD.

Please help.

Yours in anticipation,
Lloyd

Hey Lloyd,
Get online and unistall your copy of Hoster 4.X. If this procedure completes you should be able to reinstall your upgrade copy of Hoster 4.X back on your computer and carry on.

If this doesn't work, go to: http://mtu.com and submit a support ticket.

Jim

That's what got you. If at all possible, you need to un-install before wiping a drive. The only option will be the support ticket.

LLoyd,
Because the computer crashed and Windows was reloaded, MTU will not see that computer as the same computer. This is why it won't re-install. If you need this in a hurry use the Support/Emergency Help which will get noticed faster to get it reset. This also submits a ticket to Support but gets help a little quicker.
