Problem downloading songs????
Anytime I've downloaded a song it went to L:\Songs. L is my external drive for all my .kma's Now it's going here???
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Music\MTU\Songs\SC9021-1.kma And instead of a book ID # like 98509, it's 101. Haven't changed a thing!! Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks, Ernie |

Is your external drive still working? Can you see it and look at the files in it with Explorer and is it still "L:" drive?
Next question is what happened to your database files (Songs.mdb and Songs_backup.mdb? First check to make sure you haven't rebuilt the database using a different location? That would be the only way it would revert back to 101 which is the first BookID. Even at that it still should be saving them to C:\MTU\KMA Files. Nothing is supposed to be save to Documents and Settings or in the Program Files areas.

Dale,
When I open Tools/Songs Database... In Song Source Folders Box, it still has L:\Songs. At the bottom in Songs Database Destination Folder it has C:\MTU\Hoster|Songs.mdb.... Also, Songs.mdb and Songs-backup.mdb are still there. Thank You, Ernie |

What do you have in the Import screen for Save To destination?
It appears to me that your destination is wrong and that you didn't have previously a BookID 1, so if you clicked Next that was what the importer chose to use. If that is not what you want it to be then use the Edit Songs and delete the whole disk and re-import with the BookID you want and to the correct Save To location.

In The Import Bin Hard Drive Files Screen, the save to is My Music\MTU\Songs. I don't get it, I've never typed anything in there before. Sinc my .kma's ar going to "L" (extrnal hard drive), should I type in there L:\Songs? Thanks, Ernie |

You need to direct it to the directory you stored your previous files on. If you import a song and your external had drive is not connected properly, or Hoster can't find L volume it nomally automatically reverts to C:\MTU\KMA

One other question!! The songs (kms's) that went to-
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Music\MTU\Songs...... Can I just drag and drop them to L:\Songs where all of the other kma's are? Thanks, Ernie |

Yes again. But you will then have to rebuild the songs data base so that it knows where you have moved them. Make sure in the build songs data base window, you select the L:\ songs folder and no others or you may get a lot of duplicate Id's
Depending on how many you have to drag across, you might consider reimporting them and deleting the existing.
