If you want all the new features that everyone asked for, it takes more resources to run them, so ultimately it is not a Hoster problem, but a progress problem caused by all who wanted these new features.
One point brought up in another thread was not to run .net Framework 3.5 as this is causing lag problems. Check to see what version of .net framework is on your computer.
Technically the new display format with the 3 frames on screen at once is what requires more video resources. Just like the newer 3D games available for you computer Hoster is bigger and requires a lot more resources to work properly.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is a resource issue. I'm running 64MB DDR Video Ram which is 32MB more than the minimum recommended but I am upgrading to 256MB DDR Video Ram tonight. I will also check the .Net Framework version. Is there a recommended .Net Framework version?

Having kept up with this Forum while Dale was out, I can tell you that several people who stated having problems with 3.5, went back to 3.0 and things are back in sync. This is not to say which is required to work with Hoster.

I run my show with a laptop. Actually I have two. One is a backup and it is a couple of years older than the other. Neither are expensive laptops with heavy duty video cards, yet they both run hoster 4.05 without any problems. I have went through the manual and made sure I followed all the directions for turning things off and I have also made sure that I do not have any background programs loading at startup or trying to update themselves during my show.

I have upgraded the memory on both. Memory is cheap. Just some things to think about.

Happy to say that I went home for a quick break this afternoon and replaced my 64MB Video Card with the ATI Radeon 256MB. I am now running Hoster 4.05 and the lyrics are in sync and everything appears to be responding normally!
