Vista or XP?

What version of Windows Media Player?

Got SP3?

Got Internet Explorer 7?

Got all windows custom updates?

Also there is a copy of Hoster 3.40 which is 3.321 using 4.01's data.

c:\Program Files\Micro Thecknologies Unlimited\Hoster\Hoster34.exe

Put a short cut to this location on your decktop. When 4.01 got out of hand, you just hit the shortcut and keep on rolling with 3.40. They even run side by side.

I use XP SP3
Windows Media Player 11 (never opened)
All Windows Custom Updates
I don't run video in my shows

I've been running my shows five nights a week with 4.X (bets'a included ) ever since 4.0 was released with no more than a very occational "go out of sync" which is always fixed by a Hoster restart and very very seldomly happens again all night.

I HAVE NEVER HAD TO USE 3.40.

If you have all of the requirements above and enough ram, 4.01 should run fine for you, it does for me anyway.

Beta by beta MTU is getting 4.02 ready for release which will solve alot of bugs but that is the price we pay for the best Karaoke Hosting software on the planet!

It might be easier to solve if you were to describe your problems. It may not be a Hoster problem but a Microsoft or computer problem. MTU realizes there are some bugs in the new version and are working as fast as possible to get it all working.
Also, you do not need to back-up to 3.321 as that version is already included with 4.01. It has been modified to work with the version 4 registration code and is called Hoster 3.4. You will find it in the Program Files\.....\Hoster folder and is called Hoster34.exe. Just create a shortcut to this file and put it on your desktop. Then you have a fallback program when a problem jumps up.
