Question Couple of 4.0 issues

I have run into a couple of issue with 4.0 so far.

The first one happened when I was trying to import some .zip files to hoster. The songs were playing off the HD fine, so I tried to import the files
It appeared to import everything properly, but when I tried to play the song, I got a popup box telling me that the file contained a .nic ending which was not compatible, and may cause the file to not play properly..at the bottom it asked if I wanted to try playing anyway, so I ticked yes, and it played the music but no video.(Yes I have custom updated etc etc..)
Then when I tried to play straight from the HD, it gave me the same popoup box.
I had to uninstall 4.0 and re-install before it would play them again, even from the HD.

Another issue I ran into was when I re-installed and imported the files from my HD, once it had finished importing, the screen would freeze up and I had to shut down and restart hoster each time.

One other issue was noticed when importing a file with it's sub files, it will only load up to 99 songs at one time, one of my folders contained 282 files and I had to load three separate times to get all the songs imported.

Anybody else had these issues?? The .nic thing really has me baffled as they now play fine from hoster or straight from th HD

Hoster can only use Zip files with two files included. Those would be the MP3 and CDG files. If there are any other files in the zip it will give you an error message and not be able to import them.

If you use the main screen K-oke button to temporarily import it then it will ignore any other files in the zip, because you cannot control what formats others use.

Haven't seen this so may be something MTU needs to look at.

Hoster has alimitation of 99 files per BookID, so it will stop at that point instead of rolling over to the next BookID. This is supposed to be corrected later to allow converted SCDG to be loaded using multiple BookIDs.
Just out of curiousity those files you have with the .NIC files, did you download those from ITunes? If so they probably won't import. I tried and also looked for a conversion program and no such luck.

No, that's what is weird, when I re-installed hoster, that disk imported , and when I tracked down the file path, there was no .nic to be found.

and also, when it happened the first time, that box would pop up on any HD file I tried to play.

Thanks for the info on the other.

I just noticed that with the sub folders even if there are not more than 99 files total per batch run, as long as I'm using more than one folder to get the files from hoster will hang at the end of that import session (all of the files are ok and play fine) and I will have to restart hoster.

just downloaded the demo version on my pc it worked good, didint have any problems, lyrics, tunes all in sync even with just sp2, the only thing i noticed was the key changer (?) top and bottom keys, played a song and clicked on top key changer, the song remained the same pitch , tried the bottom key changer i get a beep and a paused..is this gonna be the same on the full version? andone more thing once i get the full version do i have to rebuild my song database , and would hoster find the songs just by clicking the search button ( i'm all fired up, i like what i saw on the demo)

The top Key Change buttons are for adding the key change before you add the song to the playlist. The bottom Key Change buttons are for the current song that is playing. Both sets function correctly in the full version.
The first time you open the full version it will automatically rebuild your database. This is required to add additional fields needed for this version.
