Hoster 4.0 & Windows Media Player

I have been reading the Admin posts concerning Hoster 4.0 In their last post they are talking about the differences between Windows Media Player 9.0 & 11.0 and how they are working to update their code to Windows Media Player 11.0. I currently have Windows Media Player 10.0. I have no problems at this time that I am aware of. Will I need to upgrade to Windows Media Player 11.0 for Hoster to work properly? I know everyone says to get all the updates but I have found that usually I have problems somewhere along the line when I keep getting all the updates. The only time I get them all is after a clean install of the operating system. I am going on 5 years now on my last install. I have gotten the security updates but not Windows Media Player or Explorer 7.0 etc.

Don't know if you will need to update WMP for Hoster to work. I think at least a couple of the beta testers are still using 9 and not having problems with it that I can recall. The displays have changed to HTML for the lyrics, SND, and new additions, but again you shouldn't have to go to IE7 for it to work, though it wouldn't hurt to do so. I personally like the multiple tab screens they added with it and it integrates with other programs much better than IE6.

Went three years on a MTU rack mount built PC, flawless WMP 10 I liked that system. Just a little while ago, the WMP quit working. I went from soup to nuts trying to fix it. Finally put it on line and upgraded the player and hoster while I was at it. Viola problem solved. Way I figure it, PC programs and food have something in common, they sooner or later expire. I like WMP10 over 11 but went to 11. I'm not looking back it works well. Get your updates they sometimes become necessary. You can set a recover date before you do if all turns bad. Above all backup first.
