Angry changing from sax & dotty to MTU

I have 65,000 tracks on an external hard drive that have used with sax & dotty. I am trying to change to MTU put can only move one cd at a time. Can I move larger files at one time?
Also, the the files I have changed are now beinng stored in my desk top hard drive instead of changing the files in my external

You can add ZIP files to the Playlist directly with the MP3G button in the "Add Tracks" group. It's tedious as you do it on every song.

Better... use the Import Tracks > Import hard drive files screen and batch import the ZIP files. I hope you do have the basic info in each ZIP filename so you don't have to provide it. Read the Hoster manual on Import Hard Drive Files.

If you import the files, it will consume the same hard drive space. Thus, you'll probably need another drive to convert to Hoster KMA format files, indexed in the Songs Database. However, once done, you will be able to find songs very fast by a number of ways. Hoster gets excellent marks on this from users.

Changing to Hoster will be the best move you could make.
it is by far the best karaoke hosting software on the market today.

Hi' Dennis
One more point to consider.
if you do chose to get hoster, MTU and the guys and gals on this forum
will do all they can to help you change over.
and do anything else you need.
this is the best support you can get anywhere.

I believe Dennis' problem is his ZIP files, gathered from all corners of the Universe are named very different names.

If you want to import all your 65,000 at one sitting, and never be able to use our true Search Database, then do this:

1. Run Hoster
2. Click Import Tracks menu
3. Click "Import hard drive files" command
4. In the screen that appears, click ZIP for the Type button
5. Select one file in the window that shows files
6. In the "Define Field order..." fields, click TITLE and "." for its ending delimiter. Do NOT click any other fields.
7. Click the Add Tracks button
8. This should take the entire filename, that S&D was very happy to allow you to manually find on you own, and add it into the KMA file "Title" field.

When done, your 65,000 songs will be in the Songs.mdb database. They will show nothing for Brand or DiscID search. You can only add them with the BookID (printed in your Songbook), or click the Search button and ONLY click the "Title" button (turns green). Whatever you search on will appear in the window as the entire filename imported into the Title field.
