MTU Lap Top
I noticed that MTU had the laptop on sale. I've had mine now for three years. Was thinking about buying another one for back up. (Even though I've never even had to use the 2nd internal hard drive I had MTU put in mine!
![]() I noticed where they are using XP Home. Why Home and not Pro. Mine was bought with Pro and wonder what's changed the requirement? Thanks, Kelly |

We found for our customer base, the Home was sufficient and it cut the cost a little bit.
I am sure that if you wished to have Pro Installed, that could be arranged on the new one if you were intrested. I have also sent this post over to Sales for them to look at.

After recently building a new system, I bought home, and have pro on several machines, so I did an eveluation of it.
The only diff I find is Home does not configure to a Domain where pro does. Also Home will not support Dynamic Disk for hard drive where Pro does. I have used hoster on Both will complete satisfaction. If you het the Laptop from MTU you will be satisfied with it. They are a great company and only sell the best stuff.
