new laptop, same hard drive

The motherboard in my laptop got "zapped" a couple days ago. I have a replacement laptop, but I want to try and use the hard drive from my "zapped" laptop. Am I going to run into a problem using Hoster on this other laptop? I have a show tonight and want to avoid using a cdg player and my discs. Thanks for any wisdom you can share with me.

Patrick

P.S. I LOVE Hoster! Keep up the good work!

Admin will have to weigh in on this one, but I recently had a similar experience. My power supply died, and I had to send by laptop back for warrenty work, and besides fixing the power supply, they did me the favor of reformating my hard drive (which was not having problems ) Fortunately I have my entitre hard drive backed up with Norton Ghost, and I "restored" the hard drive with all the original programs. Unfortunately, none of my MTU programs will open up after the restore. I get a message sayong that the registration number doesn't match my ID. I have been very busy and haven't had time to try and resolve this, and been running my show off a second laptop that I use for a back up. I'm currious to see what reult you have with your old hard drive in a new computer. I suspect your are going to run into problems that admin will have to resolve for you. Let me know how it turns out. Good luck.

Xurne,
It only shows that you have installed the software once. If the program gives you the Error that SParks system does, then you must REMOVE the program and then Reinstall the software, then it should work fine for you.

SParks,
You will need to do the same thing, as the system pretty much was changed, even though you had the software installed on the other HD, still can't work. Remove the software and reinstall, I have made sure that you can.

I sent dave a personal e-mail yesterday, but I keep getting a message that my email address is wrong, so it won't let me finish registration. I listed all my past e-mail addresses in the e-mail, but none of them will work. Any help would be appreciated.

Please do NOT email Dave for Support. It will then take longer, as it will have to be sent over to me anyways. So you are only slowing the process down by doing that. Post here under the Critical Registration Problems. This is where YOU will get the FASTEST support for this type of problem.

This post you have, was overlooked as it was fixed for the other guy. Please always post yours in the Critical Registration Problem forum.

I also Emailed you exactly what you needed to fix your problem to your comcast.net email, explaining that you ARE typing the Wrong Email. You need to type the one at Centurytel.net.

I am resending this email to you buty it was sent on the 9th.
