Question serious problem

My hard drive was getting full on my laptop so i transferred my song database to a 40 gig hd in my base unit. I named the file F:hoster playlist . I am running hoster 2.014 and I thought I followed the directions to rebuild songs database by deleting existing song source and song destination folders and selecting F:hostr playlist. But when I "Add track from HD" it comes up as an error that says C:hosterplaylist/whatever book id.kma not found on drive.
What am I doing wrong????

Please help!!! I have a show coming up and no time to get my discs in order

Dan

Re: serious problem

It's telling you that it is looking on C:, but your files are on F:.

Looks like you may not have set the path corectly to your songlist folder on the SONG SOURCE FOLDER section of the BUILD SONG DATABASE page of the TOOLS menu.

It must match the path to your folder, so even a lone typo can cause the system not to find it.

Hope that gets it.

Re: serious problem

You should not have changed the DESTINATION folder, just the SOURCE folder where your songs are stored.

The default DESTINATION folder should still read:

C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases\

Even though your source folder for the songs is F:\Hoster Playlist, the database is still in the program on C:

Try that.

Re: serious problem

As George stated, the only way for this to happen is that you didn't set the path for the Databases correctly.

It must be set to c:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases.

You then must set your Source Folder to the location of your .kma files. If you don't then it will not find them, as you are getting in the error.
