Hi,

Just want to say this before I proceed. I love Hoster and wouldln't use anything else. It is a great package, I just want to throw some suggestions out to MTU that may help to improve their product. It worked in the recent past as some of my bug submittals will be fixed in the next release or two.

Just a little something I noticed. While playing the Eagles "Heartache Tonight" on the new beta of Hoster (2.215) there was a very distinct delay in the sweeping of the lyrics. It seemed like it was 1 to 2 seconds behind. Maybe not quite that much but the change was very noticable. Other songs I tested appeared to sweep fine that I could tell but we are talking about fractions of a second here.

When I played "Heartache Tonight" using Hoster 2.213 version #3 the sweeping of the lyrics was spot on.

This is by no means a comprehensive test as I only tested a few tracks. However I was testing apples to apples so to speak. It appears that some more testing may be justified here before releasing the final version as version 2.213 #3 seemed to sweep lyrics more precise.

Going from an old cd karaoke system I noticed that sometimes (especially on faster songs) Hoster hangs on a bit too long on the last word before going to the next screen and displaying the next set of lyrics. When this happens then the singer kinda misses the first couple of words before they get caught up due to the fast sweeping lyrics. What would be great is if the lyrics could appear on each screen for a second or two (or at least a bit longer) before singing commences. Singers would know what words come next before singing the part. The old karaoke system seemed to do this but I will never go back to that again. I think it's a matter of tweaking and coming up with the best combination of how long to wait before displaying the next set of lyrics.

Another thing I noticed in the brief time I looked at the beta was that if I was playing a song and clicked the import tracks tab as the music played the preview window remained active on top of the import tracks screen. Not sure if this is what MTU intended, but I would think you would want to hide it here. Should the preview window be movable and sizable?

Finally, when in the edit songs screen if you do a search and click the bookid of one of your results brand, disc#, song, artist, ect info fills in below. If you select multiple then go back to select single your search results are emptied. However, sometimes the corresponding info such as brand, disc#, song, artist, ect remains filled in with the previous bookid info you clicked on. Should this also be zeroed out/left blank to their default setting? As I mentioned, this is only happens sometimes and I cannot get it to happen on a consistent basis.
