Question Updating new song database

How do we update the song database on the new version of Hoster. It used to be in the tools, now it's not there? It used to connect to the internet and update it.

Unhappy Re: Updating new song database

jdavia

There used to be a update songs database. This was where you hooked to MTU site and it would update the newest disc's out. That way you didn't have to type in the artist and the song title of a new disc you import. This is not on the tools menu of ver. 2.213. It was on 2.209.

OK, here's the scoop

There were two commands on the Tools menu that we removed around version 2.212, Update KMA File Headers, and Auto-Update Songs Database. If you go back an read the manual - I know 2.127 had these - you will see these were involved with upgrading from the 2.014 database to the 2.12x database.

So far, we have not written code to upgrade the Main (Bucket.mdb) Database from our web site.

As soon as we finish our new eCommerce store (we have been on it since January), we will start work on that Hoster feature. We expect it will be in the next version beyond Hoster 2.214, which we are now working on.
