Unhappy International Fonts

Can KHP takes in foreign fonts like chinese or thai fonts that i've downloaded? Yes I know that the new version takes in TrueTypeFonts, but just wanted to be sure. I've used another program and tried to edit/sweep these international fonts, but in the editing mode the fonts was reverted back to our latin fonts (so it was hard to sweep the right words/characters). It wasn't until the editing mode was done that the international fonts returned... and obviously, it wasn't a good sweep at all!

Single-byte TrueType fonts only

Chinese, Japanese and Korean fonts are 2-byte fonts (called "Unicode fonts") and will not work with Karaoke Home Producer. Any 1-byte font will work. When you select the font, you will see the lyrics placement and play screens in that font. Some fonts don't conform to the CDG "display cell" we use so they may not be fully swept. If this is a problem, choose the "Sweep Background" versus "Sweep Text", and it will give better presentation.
