Database problems/2.209

When I try to import songs and click brand I get an error message saying "too few parameters. expected 2. (3061)" and then asks if I want to see a help file and then it can't find that file (jetta something- i forgot to write it down) If I tell it no about 10 times it will finally let me move on to disk id where the whole thing is repeated and then it will finally give me songs I already have from that disk but not any of the ones i didn't originally import. I haven't tried importing any new disks.

different subject
Also when I bring up the manual it gives me the manual from 2.014 instead of 2.209 although it is in there i can go in manually and bring it up

any ideas?
Thanks
Sam

Remove then reinstall

Did you do an UPGRADE or MODIFY install? If so, run the 2.209 installation program again, this time select REMOVE. After the prior version is removed (it won't touch your song files or Songs database), run the 2.209 installation program again. This time it will install the new 2.209 version.

The manual should come up correctly.

The database should not have the problem you report.

Post here what your results are so we all know.

There is no way that the Installation could do this. Please make sure that you have installed Hoster 2.209. Reboot the computer then see what happens.

still not working

I removed/ reinstalled and rebooted and still no databse except for what has already been imported and I still get the error message when i select "brand" or "Disc ID" However the other features that didn't work before, such as "read manual" are now working.

What else can I try.

Mindonstrike,
Please type the Exact Error message. The Bucket.mdb is the database that was updated, not your Songs.mdb. It seems to me that you have an ', " or some other Character in your Songs.mdb that is causing this Error. Please give me the exact error message, also when it asks you if you want to see Help, click Yes. Copy that entire message also into this post, to give me the information on what to tell you to do.

After the Hoster error msg telling me too few parameters, and i tell it yes I want to see help,I get a windows msg saying"cannot find the jeterr35.hlp file. Do you want to try and find the file yourself?", when I tell it no I get a new windows msg saying"cannot find the jeterr35.hlp file check to see if that file exists on your disk. If it doesn't you need to reinstall it"

I also discovered it doesn't do this on everything, for example it doesn't do it when i select sound choice but it does when i select chartbuster professional country.
However no matter what I select it will only give the stuff that I had previously imported

I Vote to Keep the Brand-DiscID-Track option

1. I use a touch screen, I can load a track in 4 pokes. And it
doesn't require any keystrokes.

2. Some of my customers tend not to fill out their slips completely, or look in the book for that matter. For instance one guy hands me a slip that says "FRANK DK90-08" and that's it. Now unless I know the Song, I can't load it unless I do some research. It happens a lot.

3. Why NOT keep it? Can you make it an option? Or maybe give us choice of screen layouts or "skins". Hmmm

Steve.
