Re: New Hoster 2.209 Upgrade
Received your new update a few hours ago, and have been playing with it. Congratulations, it seems to be a lot easier to use. The only comment I would like to make is under working conditions I find it difficult to read the song and artist boxes now they are faint and greyed out. Is there anything I can do - apart from buying a bigger pair of specs. Only joking!!

I don't understand
Why does everyone post "HOSTER" comments in the "MICROSTUDIO" forum..... this isn't criticizing you eric. But this is the second one I have answered today here.
We Have people in the Hoster forum looking to help hoster people, and The SUpport people, and admin, might not see your valuable comments in the wrong forum. I do understand your comment, But I think they had to grey it so it couldn't be changed. I have many other database type programs that do the same thing. If it were displayed in the black & white format someone would ask why they couldn't change it. Programming is also limited to restrictions imposed by microsoft as to what it will and won't do in the windows environment. |

Re : New Hoster Upgrade
Sorry I posted my message on the Microstudio forum it was a genuine mistake, perhaps it could be transferred to the Hoster forum. I really must go and see an optician. However I still think the song titles and artists names in the grayed out areas will cause problems when working in dimly lit places. Perhaps the font could be enlarged and made in bold text. After successfully running Karaoke Shows in England for 15 years we have found it is important to ensure that the singer sings the song he has requested, even if he has made an error in writing out his slip, hence we need to double check everything, ie the song number against the song title.

Yep, I do the same thing here, Admin reads all these post's, and Im sure he will weigh this in for a future release if it is a problem with more than one user.
This is one of the best software companies I have ever dealt with as far as customer service. They really do want the customer to be happy. But sometimes there is a balancing act of what needs to be done and what can be done. ![]() |

Re:Hard to read songtitle and artiste display boxes
Hey I'm not trying to run down MTU's software I've been a loyal customer since the year 2000. I'm simply trying to solve a problem which I didn't have before this upgrade was released. I think I have come up with a solution to solved the problem by using the Accessibility Options and changing the display to a high contrast setting. I'll try one or two of the settings and let you know how I get on after the weekend.

I moved this to the Hoster Help Forum... it happens to the best of us!
![]() The standard Windows "non-editable field" is what you see. Your request is valid and appreciated. In the haste to get every feature in, sometimes we don't think of all the "user needs". However, we darn sure try to. My brain just isn't as creative as it was 20 years ago. ![]() PROBLEM TO ADDRESS: I'll mention this to our programmer to see if there is anything we can do. You might try the Tools menu > Set Font command. This controls your Playlist window text, but not the Song/Artist fields. I'll be interested in your findings on changing your Windows Accessability Options. ![]() |

Windows Accessability Options
After using the new update for 7 days on the accessibility option setting (lilac) I have noticed the display is a lot easier to read in dimly lit smoky atmospheres (it has even made the time display bigger). I have had no serious audio dropouts at all and is certainly a big improvement. Well done. Looking forward to the next update.
