Angry Internal Failure

OK. I've searched this whole forum for the last 4 hours and to no avail did I find anything close to my problem.

After realizing that my Microstude version 2.3x was outdated by a couple years, I purchased the upgrade to the latest version. The gentleman on the phone said make sure you uninstall the previous version before installing the update. Well, I did that, went to Microsoft and got current on all their updates and then downloaded the Microstudio update. No good! I start to install and I get the following error.

Internal Failure
Error Number: 0x8002802B
Description: Element not found

I even cleaned my registry but that didn't work either.

Please help if you know what this is.

Thanks.

Tarbaby,

That message appears to be an installation problem relating to InstallShield. You can find some solutions by searching the InstallSheild community by clicking here

Good luck,

Jon

Thanks Jon. You were right but I'm still stuck until MTU helps me out. It appears that Installshield isn't responsible because they just provide the tools to MTU to create the installation package so I guess I have to go that route.

I am getting closer. Thanks again.

Tarbaby,
What version of Windows are you running?

The new software does only support 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP.

Unhappy

I am running Windows ME so it shouldn't be a problem. I did check out the InstallShield site and that offered no help. They blame the MTU for the problem.
