Wink microstudio wont start in xp

I have got around this problem by doing the following.
1. Set microstudio to run in compatibility mode win98/me then started microstudio.
2. Then went into drives and set the aspi drivers to use mtu installed drivers.
3. Exit from microstudio and restarted everthing working ok.
4. Changed the compatibility back to xp restarted and it seems to now be working fine.

Have not tried recording anything yet but at least I can open microstudio in xp.

I did however change my Yamaha scsi drive auto play off as well.
Perhaps this was not helping?
My aspi drivers are all up to date. Should I be using the mtu drivers or the default driver with my scsi drive.
My drive is the Yamaha CRW4416s worked fin with ver. 2.3
Thank you for your reply.

Exclamation XP Start Up

Brian,

I don't believe the problem is XP, I had the same problem with my Dell LapTop Inspiron 4100 but not with my Dell desktop that I've upgraded from Me to Xp.
I believe it has to do to with the Bios?

My solution was what you did, change the compatibility to 98.

Regards
