Export CDG files

is it possible to export CDG files or can songs be saved to an external drive?

You can't export the CDG file straight of a standard CD+G disc onto a hard drive or memory stick without converting them to a different format. If you open a cdg disc to list the files they are shown as Track01.cda, these are only small 44bit files some sort of header info only.
You need a program such as Microstudio to import the files first as a .bin file, then it is possible to play .bin files from a hard drive with the right software, or you can write the files back to disc as a customized disc.
Alternately you can then convert the .bin file to another format (you need Sonverter for this) like MP3+G or zip format, these formats use far less disc space per song than a bin format and are playable in a wider variety of players.
