I have two extra rectangular screens that display the songs that are to be played on my windows 7 laptop. How do I get rid of them?

Re: Extra song display screens on laptop
Which version of Hoster are you using ?
If you have a version 5.xxx, from the Tools Menu select Show Display, then the Intermission tab. Put a ticks in the Marquee Hide box at the top and in the Singers Name Display Hide box at the bottom. Repeat this for any of the other views such as the Lyrics Tab, Audio Tab or video Tab.

Re: Extra song display screens on laptop
I use F6 to wirelessly send my hoster signal to an 82" screen at home. I sometimes just use my laptop alone without the TV to practice singing. In both cases there is an extra lyrics display that I can not get rid of. I only have hdmi out if I wish to use a screen away from home. How do I get rid of the extra lyrics display? How would I turn it back on if I were to use hdmi to a secondary screen? Thanks, Rick

What hardware or software do you use to wirelessly send your screen to your extended monitor ? As I have never used any wi-fi type signal sender I can't tell you how to set up for that as it may be different to using hard wired system or just a conventional video sender, in the case of connecting through your HDMI connection or via conventional video sender I can tell you. If as you state above shown in bold, you are seeing 2 lyrics screens when display is shown on extended monitor it sounds like you have your whole laptop screen being sent to your secondary monitor instead of just the one singers screen. This is because you have not set your extended monitor view to "extend these displays". Instead of pressing F6 function key to send your screen to the external try this: Connect your second monitor preferably with the hdmi connection but may work with your wireless hook up. Now right click on a blank area of your desktop and select "Screen Resolution" from the fly out window, you should see a dialog showing your 2 screens as in my attached picture. At the bottom of the window where it reads Multiple displays set it to "Extend these displays" then press OK. You should now see your desktop wallpaper on the extended monitor but not anything else, no icons just the wallpaper. If that is now showing correct start Hoster up, now if you can see the main singers screen place your cursor in the middle of it and double left click it, this should make just the one singers screen appear on the extended and all other controls still viewable on your laptop. To return the extended picture to the laptop move your screen pointer to the right until it appears on the extended screen and left double click again. Assuming this is now working right for you we will move on to using the laptop on it's own. Laptop only view set up. Open the Tools/Show display, with the intermission view selected, in the top area there are 2 tick boxes, the one that reads "Always On" untick this box press OK. (only use this setting when not connected to extended monitor). Now click the preview tab, depending which version you have you may see another 2 tick boxes at the top if you see one that reads "Always on top" then untick it and press Apply and close. This will stop the preview screen appearing above all other windows. Weather this solves your problem or not come back and let us know, don't wait another 10 months. ![]() Also it may be helpful to you to watch this video on show display setup: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGbavLnNdGc
