Talkover

i have a private party to do tomorrow ( fundraising ) and i am now trying out the 4.11 BA works great, how do i activate the talkover switch, i clicked on it and it's now showing aqua in color, tried to say something on the mic and the music stayed on the same level, didnt fade ..does this work only if the mic is plugged into the comp. not on the board?

Aqua or light blue means it is not active. Red means it is. The amout the music is lowered for the Talkover is controlled by the Talkover slide in the BA.

Great feature. I did find that after I went through the process of removing the silence, I discovered it didn't remove anything for some songs. I went into songs edit and manually removed the silence. Kind of a pain but it worked. I haven't checked every song in my data base. I just deal with them when I happen to play the song and the remove silence isn't working for that particular song. It would be nice if there was a counter in the song edit so we could use that as a reference point to set the start area as opposed to trial and error.

Some songs do start the music immediately which will show as little or no change in the edit screen. I have found that some like the Disney productions don't process for some reason and do have silence at the beginning that you can remove with Edit. You will probably find if one of a brand doesn't show it then the rest will not either.

i did about 10k all day yesterday, 14k processed so far, 33+k left, but anyway they do start right away, they don't even show the brand and credits anymore , but on some of them they kinda start about 5 sec. late or they're are not processed yet..i did both man. and auto.so yeah this feature is great...
