Make sure you uninstall everything just like Yorkie mentioned.

Before you reinstall make sure the KHP folder does not exict at all.

Then install 2.009 and be prepared to be stunned at how good it is.

I agree with brian. completely remove the version you had on your system. Then reinstall KHP 2009. IT works. believe me it works.

Exclamation Uninstalling a program...

Do the following:
Click the Start button
Click Settings
Click Control Panel
Click Add/Remove Programs
Find Karaoke Home Producer and click it (it will expand and show a Change/Remove button)
Click the Change/Remove button
Approval removal of all components

After you do this, then install KHPro2009.exe.

The settings will work as others attest in this post.

Do This...

You can cure this problem as follows...

1) Insert two blank lines at the end of your lyrics in the .txt file.
2) Make sure you sweep EVERY word when you are placing the lyrics to your song.
3) Place the two remaining blanks lines by pressing the space bar twice after the last word has been placed.

Your file should now play back without any problem.

Please make sure that you have installed DirectX 8.0. This could cause these problems if you are running an older version of DirectX.

To check this do the following:

1) Go to the Start Menu
2) Left click on Run
3) Type in Dxdiag, then click "Ok" to open the file.

This should open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. At the bottom of this first page you should see a line that shows:

DirectX Version: DirectX 8.0 (4.08.00.0400) (These numbers in parenthesis may not be exactly the same, cause my system is running Win 2k) Make sure the number after the DirectX is 8.0 or you will need to download DirectX 8.0 and install it on your system.

You can download DirectX 8.0 from the following links:

Windows 2000 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/r...eleaseID=27742

Windows 98/ME http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/r...eleaseID=27741
