Unwanted Key Change

When I load the first song (101) into the playlist, it arbitrarily loads it with a key change of +4. If I try to change the key to any value (-1, +3, etc.) it still shows a change of +4. It hasn't happened to any other song so far but now I have to verify each song I load to make sure the key hasn't changed to something I don't want. This just started happening with the new release.

Re: Unwanted Key Change

Mackie Rocks,

The Key Change is Transferring from Record of The Singer in the Singer History... Click on SEARCH Button... Place ( ??? Singer ) in the focus box, and click on the little Manila Envelope on the Right Side of Name Box... Enlarge the Window and see if -4 is next to ( ??? Singer ) for Song #101 ...

Re: Unwanted Key Change

Thanks for your reply, Rikki. I found that it only applies the arbitrary key change when I DON'T add a singers name. When I do add a singers name, it does NOT change the key. I think your theory is correct, I just don't know how to fix it when I don't have a name attached to the song. Make sense?

Re: Unwanted Key Change

You may have a blank singers name field.
If you select the singers button in the dialog that opens, select the singers name dropdown arrow, is there a blank line above all you listed names, if so select that and open it as a singers list, is that particular track showing there without a singers name attached to it ?
If so delete it.

If that's not the case can you attach a screen shot of your Hoster screen with the culprit track showing in the playlist ?

Re: Unwanted Key Change

It has to be embedded in the "No Name" History... Maybe Roy or Admin will ring in and have an answer of how to change it back to -0- for you, I don't have that answer, sorry!
Now WHY are you placing #101 in the playlist without a singer's name??? lol

Re: Unwanted Key Change

Sometimes if we are rushed, and somebody wants to change their song, we'll just put the song in without a name. Thanks for your input, Rikki!

Re: Unwanted Key Change

Roy, I tried to find a blank line on the singers list and there is none. I thought that might be the case as well and it appears it is not.

What Type of a song is it? Your "Type" column is hidden.

Also, when you say you try to change the key to anything else, are you using the buttons in the "Add Singers & Songs" box? Or are you editing the Key column in the Playlist?

Re: Unwanted Key Change

Gotta be a blank ( no name ) singer listing with a history for "Feel Your Love Tonight" in the SINGERS History of Songs Sung Menu...

Try this: on playlist listing for Book I.D.#101 with "no name / blank" for the name focus ( After adding it to the playlist ) and it gives you the +4 Key Change... Right Click on song listing to open Drop Down Menu, Click on SUNG By... Is there a blank line with "no name" listed for that song entry?

OR

If you open SINGERS by clicking on radio button on Hoster's main screen, and it opens singers history ( i.e. Singer & Songs Sung ) is there a blank space above the first name? That Shows the Song "Feel Your Love Tonight" with a +4 ???

*Sorry for asking for information like you are a novice, but it's more for me, so I can relate the steps I use... Rick

Re: Unwanted Key Change

DClark, it is a cd-g. Rikki, when I do what you suggested, it brings up the name of someone I know has never sung that song. It shows he's sung it 0 times.

Re: Unwanted Key Change

I just reverted back to 5.34 and it doesn't happen! Went back to 5.35 and when the program first opens up, the key change next to the singers name is set to +4.

Can to change the key change next to the singers name to zero before adding the track to the playlist. If so does it revert back to +4 the the next time you start Hoster ?

Re: Unwanted Key Change

We have found and fixed 2 items in the software, but kept the 5.35.01 version number. The way to tell if you have the latest version is by doing this: Go Video Hoster > Help Menu > About Video Hoster. If you see the Version number showing 5.35.01, (notice the comma) then you have the latest version. If you do not see the , then download the latest version from here http://www.mtu.com/download.htm

The two Items we fixed were:

1) The issue with Key change not showing changing the key when adding a song by the BookId button.

2) In Background Audio > Settings > Fade In - If you had this set to 0, you would not hear any audio when the next song played.

Please download the latest version to have the most current software.
