Hoster 510.02 Problem
I just downloaded the latest change, 510.02, to one of my laptops and after re-setting my preferences, I noticed my Instabuttons are missing.
Before I update my other laptop, is there a way I can save my Instabuttons to a file and then re-install them back into the program? Thanks for any help, Wes

Re: Hoster 510.02 Problem
They are probably hidden which is a feature you may have missed, to reveal them double click on the header bar above the playlist, that is the bar with Status, Dur, Singers,Title, ETC.

Re: Hoster 510.02 Problem
When you say you "after re-setting my preferences" do you mean you ticked the box in one of the install screens to remove all previous settings ?
As that clears the registry where all your instabuttons are stored. When you upgrade it is best to leave that unticked and just select the upgrade option. If that is what you did you may be able to restore the registry by system restore to just before you upgraded to 5.10. Then if that returns your instabutton settings re-install but this time select upgrade radio button only. When you open the Instabutton dialog, is the list empty there? If not is the check box ticked in the top left hand corner of the instasbutton dialog and the individual buttons selected ?

![]() Roy,
Thanks for the response. Re-set my preferences, means I had to change the background colors and font sizes for some of the options. Not sure what I ticked, but I'll take a closer look when I install the change to my other laptop. When I open the Instabutton option there are no buttons listed. I might try the recovery option to restore the settings, however, it's not that big of a deal for me to install the Instabutton again. I just thought I'd let others know there might be a problem with 501.02. Thanks again, Wes

![]() Roy,
The recovery worked and I got my Instabuttons back. I then did another upgrade and figured out what I did wrong. During the upgrade process the program has a page with two boxes you can click, one is related to who you purchased Hoster from and if it was NOTMTU you are asked to click that box. The other box is related to if you are reinstalling Hoster and you WISH to clear all saved settings. If so, you click that box. Since I bought my Hosted from MTU direct, I knew I shouldn't click the first option box, so I guess I selected the other option the first time I did the upgrade. The second time I installed the upgrade, after the recovery, I didn't click either box and just clicked NEXT. Problem I believe is now solved. What I can't figure out is now I now know I have installed the upgrade since the manual is still listed as 5.10.01 and not .02, and HELP just indicates 5.10. Once again I,m glad you're willing to help others manage their Hoster. Thanks again, Wes
