Printing songbook
I use an external hardrive and have built the new data base. I also exclude some mp3 files. The list of song are kept on the c: drive and it know to find the music on the external e drive . Hoster uses the C drive to look for the list and then it knows to go to the E drive. I cant get it to produce a songbook. I have tried many tools and settings

Re: Printing songbook
When you come back can you tell us which version of Hoster you are using as the file created (SongBook.rtx) in a different place in the latest version.
After pressing the create button, do you see the hour glass while it's creating and when finished a dialog stating "New songbook created with xxx entries" ? Not essential but do you have Microsoft Word on the computer ? At the bottom of the Songbook dialog is a black window showing the path to the Songbook, can you tell us the path showing ? From the select viewer button have you properly set the path to your chosen viewer ?

Re: Printing songbook
You didn't answer any questions in my previous post, which version of Hoster are you using ?
Not essential but do you have Microsoft Word on the computer ? I have not seen the problem you are talking about. Did you choose Microsoft word as your viewer from the Select Viewer button or another text viewer ? Please answer this question. You should be able to print it directly from the "View Songbook" dialog. You can close any viewer by X out top right of any open viewer like word or wordpad. The only thing that may produce a notice like that is if you are viewing it in another program like notepad, then try to open another instance of it via windows in another program like Word while the viewer is still open.

Re: Printing songbook
I use the latest version of Hoster 5.10. My system is window 7 64 bit and yes I have word that I use under windows nt accesories. When I go to print the songbook the word file doeSnt close possibly. Then I go back to make a change in format of songbook and it tells me it needs to be closed. I found the document in program data mtu hoster. When the songbook creates I get circle that swirls.

Re: Printing songbook
I've re created that error message you spoke of.
Once you have view songbook activated and you are viewing the word document, if it is not laid out as you want you must close the Word document first then make your changes by re creating the songbook.rtf file. Hoster can't create a new file while word is open. You either close word by X out or choose exit from the file menu of word or a 3rd option right click on the word icon on the task bar and select close window. Are you saying that when you select Print from the Word File Menu/Print that something is happening there and not printing. If that's the case do you have any problem printing any other documents from the Word program ?

Re: Printing songbook
Word is printing correctly. I suspected that when I went to the print command, it left the file open. Apparently this is the problem. Since I haven't used word that much, I just thought it would auto close.
