Second be sure you do the changes in the following link to your Windows 7 computer before you install it. http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster/windows7-changes.htm Be sure you uninstall from the original computer while on line as Beavis said.

Re: moving on to a new computer
I have a similar situation.
I am using Ver. 4.3. I want to keep my old computer as is since I use multiple computers and have the licenses. I want to be able to use my external hard drive with both. I told the computers that the external hard drive is the same letter on both. The problem I have on the new computer is that the "C:\USER" folder is not the same as the old computer. When I do a song search, the "C\USER" error pops up and is different than what is on the old computer. I'm not sure what to do or change |

Then your external drive with all your songs on could be anything but probably E:/xxxxx or F:/xxxxx (xxxxx being your song folder on that drive) With your hard drive attached go Start/My Computer, is the external showing the same volume letter when plugged in to all computers? As long as the external registered as the same on all computers there should be no problem.

Re: moving on to a new computer
When I do a search for a song on the new computer and click on the song that I want (song files on the external hard drive), a pop up window says "Bad Zip File C:\USER\neilymon\AppData\Local\Temp\MTU_Hoster\auout-2.zzz"
Now on the other computer, the folder is Not neilymon but neil |

Re: moving on to a new computer
If you open your Tools/Songs database/Build database, in the dialog bottom left window, do the file paths in the indexed folders lists match on both computers ?

Re: moving on to a new computer
can you use the K-oke button to load one of these same zip files and see if it plays that way or does it still say bad zip ?
The kmh file has to be in the same folder with the original zip file they have to remain in their pairs. Example: Mcgraw, Tim - The- All I Want Is A Life.zip Mcgraw, Tim - The- All I Want Is A Life.kmh Or have you just copied the kmh file ?

Re: moving on to a new computer
Try this: Close Hoster, now with your external drive connected open your Hoster folder and find your songs.mdb file and delete it. Then restart Hoster. It won't open right away, don't panic you should see a dialog box saying it is rebuilding the database and depending how many songs you have will take some time, after it has rebuilt the database Hoster will open. Take note of how long it takes before opening Hoster as a very short time could mean it is not finding the songs.
I'm off to bed now so can't reply further till tomorrow.
