Re: error message 0x8004072

Are you sure you followed all the instructions in the previous error instructions. Like repeat the windows updates until it states there are no more updates for your computer, I would expect this to take a time.

igdumd32 Error Help needed

I'm posting this on behalf of djbikeerob in responce to a private message he sent me.
He is getting this error "igdumd32.dll " every time he tries to play a karaoke track and receives a hoster must close message,
Has anyone else had this, if so what should he do to overcome it.
He has version 5.05 as his prior version and 5.07 as the new one.

Re: oooops new computer doesnt support extended desktop

I didn't see it before but is his video driver the latest?

The dll you are seeing involves windows rendering. It is having difficulty creating the image on the secondary screen.

Roy,

That dll looks like an "Intel" Video Driver.

My experience with video drivers required me to go straight to the "Dirver Manufactureres" site (in this case go to Intel) for the most current version. Sounds like the current Computer Manufacturers driver version is out of date as well as the Windows version.

Believe it or not, Dell's video driver version for my computer is dated last year.

Worth a try.

Re: error message 0x8004072

I don't understand, the link is in the quote you included with your question
What is "yysa yasa" ?

When you do the windows updates it can be quite a long process, there are no shortcut to this, you must choose the Custom option. and select every update that shows, even if you think it doesn't apply to you. Once the updates are installed, if you see a message to restart the computer, you must do this before continuing.
Then go through the same process again until it shows 0 items to be installed.

Can't get Hoster to run on new computer.

i HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE SINCE I GOT THIS NEW LAP TOP. HOSTER STILL WONT RUN AND NOW I SOMEHOW CANT DELTET IT FROM MY COMPUTER. IT WILL NOT RUN AND SINCE I DELETED IT THE WRONG WAY IT WON'T REMOVE SO MTU THINKS I HAVE IT INSTALLED ON THREE COMPUTERS NOW SO I CANT EVEN LOAD THE DARNED THING. THERE IS NO "BOX" THAT SAY REMOVE OR UNINSTALL" SO I CANT DO IT THAT WAY AND SINCE ITIS NOT ACTUALY ON MY COMPUTER i CANT USE "UNINSTALL" PROGRAM TO UNINSTALL IT COMPLETELY. I HAVE PUT IN THE EMERGENCY TICKET AND I HAVE RECEIVED NO REPLY I HAVE CALLED TWICE AND RECEIVED NO REPLY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME i HAE A SHOW TOMORROW ANDI NEED THIS TO WORK SOON.

You can try using System Restore to a point that Hoster was installed.

How did you remove it ?
Have you still got it installed on any other computers ?
Don't you have the original "hoster507.05setup.exe" file, you use that same file to uninstall. When you start that you should see 2 radio buttons, one to upgrade and one to Remove. choose remove then press the next button.
This should send information to MTU to free up your computer.

If it won't uninstall that way do as Ken said try restoring it to the time before you deleted it then try what i said again.

i am on an odessy of frustration. i just disabled the autorun just as it says. i changed the value to 0 and clicked ok restarted the computer put in a cd of karaoke and guess what? the damned thing started up playing the cd. i looked to see if the value 0 was still entered on the cdrom autorun and it was? any answers for this? i am trying to use a lenovo y480 with 8 gigs of ram and 750 gig harddrive running at 5400 and hoster 5.07 (latest)

ps the hoster program still wont work it simply states hoster has stopped working every timei try to play a karaoke song. i have been working on this since last friday.

Open control panel depending which view you have set either choose "Hardware & sound" if you have a different view set choose "Auto Play" your view may go straight to showing Auto play. In the dialog that opens top left is a tick box for use Auto play, UN TICK this box.
If you look down the list you can set different things to happen when inserting different media, shouldn't matter if you have the box un-ticked but set the top 4 boxes to to "Take No Action".

In your other thread you said you cannot install because you deleted it. Is that problem sorted ?

It is becoming hard to follow what you are doing because you keep starting new threads and not letting us know the outcome of the previous problem.

ok sorry about that i have the ability to download again. thanks for your help but i am back to it simply shuts down every time i try to play a karaoke song.it says the fault module is igdumd32.dll

roy it has been corrected thanks of course as i said hoster still crashes every time i try to play a karaoke song. I wish to thank you for all your help.

Just curious, are you attempting to play a song file in Hoster while on battery power or external power?

It can make a difference with regards to computer performance settings.

If you are attempting to play on battery power, try plugging the external power in and try to play a song.

If that isn't it then there is probably a setting that is causing a conflict.

Let me know and we can attempt to find the conflict.
