Re: Hoster 4.22 vs. 4.31 ...

If it was me I would upgrade that Ram to at least 4 GB. That would go a long way toward letting you use newer releases. I don't believe Hoster was ever designed for using multiple copies open at the same time. The version 4 releases were meant to bring all those functions into one location. You can play your audio through the BA (if you get that Ram upgraded) and setup Karaoke and videos through the main playlist. without having to switch back and forth between copies.
Just out of curiosity did you make all the required changes to Windows 7 before you tried 4.31?

Yes, I made the necessary upgrade and changes. 2 gb is the max my laptop would accept. Maybe I would to have built another desktop with higher higher Ram and better video card just to try hoster 4.31.

Unfortunately that is about half of what Windows 7 really needs to function well. Did you upgrade to Windows 7 or did it come that way?

Re: Hoster 4.22 vs. 4.31 ...

I have Windows 7 64 bit. Latest version of Windows Media Player on my machine, but I cannot view (some) not all MPEG formatted videos. Some have audio playing but you can't see the video it's just black screen. Is there a link that I can go to for what to Change in Windows 7? Or is there nothing to change except UAC (which I've turned off). I see stuff to change for Vista, but nothing for Windows 7 64 bit. Also is there a codec that I may be missing? Maybe that's it but I'm not sure.

Try this link for Windows 7:

As far as the mpeg formats, it most likely is that you do not have the codecs install for those formats.

Probably an early Vista laptop, which had just barely enough RAM.
Well, all I can say is if you want multiple copies open stick with 3.4 or use one 4.31 and play both audio and karaoke from a single playlist.
