What to do now?

I have two computers running hoster - XP and Vista. I have 3.318 on the XP box and 3.317 on the vista box. I have been rebuilding the vista box and now use it as my main pc for shows.

I think I was a victim of the bad download of the 3.318 on December 29. I downloaded the update but in the file shuffling I guess I put the corrupted one back in its place. I get the serial number mismatch when installing. I know that I once had a good 3.318 install because I upgraded my XP box to it without problems.

Now when I went back to get the link for 3.318 it tells me I don't qualify for it? I think I read a thread about this.

Do I need to buy the upgrade deal? I don't know - especially now that 3.319 is coming out soon and I am using Vista exclusively.

I would like 3.318 due to the changes made to temp folder and the azout errors.

You SHOULD be able to install 3.318 and run it.

You purchased Hoster on May 22, 2006, which is after the March 30, 2006 requirement date.

Download the correct file for Hoster 3.318 from:
http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster.htm

Make sure you are using the same RegCode you did with your 3.317 install.

Post back here whether you fail or succeed to install so we know.

Ok I downloaded 3.318 and ran the installer and picked upgrade. After transmitting data to MTU I get the Registration error dialog that says that I don't qualify for this upgrade.

Should I do a complete uninstall and then re-install the newer one?

Try REMOVE and INSTALL. Unless there is a problem with your Database record, you should be able to install. If that doesn't work, post back here and we'll have to get our webmaster to review and fix your record.

Completely uninstalled Hoster 3.317 on Vista - Tried to install 3.318 and 3.319 and both give the same dialog - Problem with Registration - Don't qualify for upgrade.

I am Hoster-less now. I won't worry until Wednesday or Thursday. My shows are weekend only. So as long as we can fix this by then.

In the mean time it would be prudent to use restore to try and get those working again.

I got a backup PC with XP and 3.318 on it, but would rather use my primary rig.

Hoster 3.319 is now released.

Click here to download it, then install it. The same restrictions apply as to 3.318.

You must have orderd Hoster or its upgrade after May 30, 2006. If not, you need to order the Upgrade.

Let us know here if this solves your problem.

See Post #5 - I tried 3.319 also when I was trying 3.318. Same thing. Unless I need to re-download the archive again. Is this what you meant?
