External Hard Drive
ALL MY KARAOKECD'S ARE ON MY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE BUT WHEN I BRING UP HOSTER AND TRY TO PLAY ANY OF THE CD'S I GET AN ERROR THAT READS. C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\songs cbe1-01-1.kma was not found on the hard drive. My song files are on G drive so how do I get it to read the right drive

hoster is looking at the default location for songs.
Buld Songs Database for that drive. G: and whatever folder you have them in. go to tools, buld songs database and select folder.

WIndows does have a bad habit of changing the drive letter for external devices sometimes. Make sure the drive letter matches what is in the Build Database for Hoster.

Won't swear to this, but I read somewhere that external storage devices should never be unplugged while connected, should remain connected while the pc is shut down, and reconnected before the pc is turned on, or Windows will see it as new hardware, and assign it a different drive address.
Can't confirm as I don't use one. |
