![]() Hi,
Here's what I want to do...... My computer at work has a video card that has 3 monitor capability. (Dell machines) I want vto be able to put a 3 monitor capable card in my Hoster machine and 1) Run Hoster on main monitor 2) Run singer graphics on second monitor 3) Run SND on third monitor Is this possible now, given that one has a 3 monitor video card? Or am I dreaming Just a thought wallymeister ![]()

No you are not dreaming and yes it is possible as long as extended desktop is available and enabled. I have done it with an Asus motherboard with ATI Xpress 200 that allows for a second video card giving me 4 monitor capability.
My thoughts on this is to also use another program that will put banner ads, flashing messages and such on that third screen as well. The only problem I have is the singers want that big screen to show the lyrics as well as the on stage monitor (some of them get wandering feet when they sing ![]() ![]()

![]() Thanks for the reply Dale, at least my vision is doable. I do not use SND now because I don't like it on the main monitor or the singers monitor. If I can separate the SND to it's own monitor I will definetely use it. A long time ago I saw somebody doing this with their rotation (12 to 15 years ago) of course that was before computer karaoke. They just had a computer that displayed the singers rotation and they had to keep it up manually with a dos program of some kind. (probably something they wrote in BASIC.) I thought that was very cool and it was nice having a screen that you could look at at any time and see where you are in the rotation. The way he had it was just the next 3 to 4 singers on deck. And yes a 4th monitor to handle a constant flow of ads and specials and upcoming shows would awesome. Just don't want to over tax your processor and cause some glitches in sound or graphics.
Again, Thanks wally ![]()

Don't think it would over tax it as it would be like one large screen just different parts would be located on differen monitors. Biggest problem I can see is lugging around 4 monitors, unless the club has a big screen TV and then it would still be 3.

![]() Everything I use is flat screens. I love 'em.
Overtaxing the processor would not be because of the monitors as much as it would be the programs that you use to display the info on each. Grant it that Hoster would be used to display 3 of the screens, but with a fourth driven by some other memory eating program plus maybe running another DJ program as well..... then maybe one could be overtaxed. Just a thought wally ![]()
